We've rented kayaks from Coastal Kayak the last three years. First time was a guided tour; the last two years we've been doing it on our own. Always had a great time - very knowledgeable and friendly staff.

My wife, daughter and I booked Coastal Kayak's Sunday morning Burton's Island Wildlife tour. Bob and his assistant guide, Anna, took us and a group of 8 or so others on very enjoyable and leisurely kayaking tour of the bay and marshlands inside the South Inlet. With a background in horticulture, the Delmarva's waters and its wildlife, Bob was experienced, knowledgeable and very personable pointing out nesting ospreys, herons, egrets, and diamond back terrapins along with native trees and grasses. After rafting on a sand bar he had us all delicately handling live hermit and fiddler crabs along with a large (if less than thrilled) horseshoe crab. He and Anna easily accomodated our group's varied skill levels, from 1st time to more experienced kayakers, with patience, care, clear direction and good humor. I highly recommend Coastal Kayak and the 2 hour tour was the perfect choice for us. Thank you, Bob and Anna.
Laid back group of people, knowledgeable, friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our kayaking. Wanted to paddle board but water was way too choppy. We will be back next year to give it at try. This is a nice group of people and business to work with!
Fabulous views and great prices! Even a quick lesson for beginners. This has become our favorite spot since vacationing in Bethany Beach three years ago! We always look forward to coming back.
