The worst motel/hotel experience ever.....and We only stayed 15 minutes. We walked into the main office and were not even greeted; front desk never even looked up until we were standing at the counter for a minute. She did progressively become a little more pleasant. We got our keys and went to our room, as soon as we opened the door we immediately regretted our decision. The room felt and looked dirty, the sheets and pillows were stained yellow. Our door frame and walls were stained, the shower had mold. We felt very uncomfortable and there were no deadbolts on the door even though the door jam looked to had been tampered with. After 5 minutes in the room we got on to Google and booked another hotel for the weekend. We checked out the next day with no inquiries with why we were leaving early, or even a concern with how our stay was. I strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you are looking for a relaxing place to stay. Camping may have been a better option. They do have a pool however..........
I recently moved to the eastern sea board and my summer is not complete without visiting the sands. Terry and jason the assistant mgr/ and manager are attentive, courteous and really make you feel welcome. The location is great to all things in the area. This will be my third season with them and I can't wait for summer to get here in a few weeks so I can get back to the sands. If you want a great experience I encourage anyone to stay here.
Great staff in Fenwick Island,DE. Management is like family here. Cant wait to see the new facility. Good Luck Sands!!!
For the price no complaints, the hotel is a little out dated but clean nice friendly staff! To bad this is there last season of operation
This motel is a great value. The walk to the beach was rediculously easy. The pool is nicely maintained and perfect for an afternoon break from the sand. When our AC was working but dripping a bit, the manager came up to fix it within the hour. He was friendly and helpful. Our suite was spacious and provided more amenities than what we needed. It was mostly clean. Visually, it's not the most impressive motel at the beach, but I'd definitely stay here again!
